ETHAN HAMLIN

At 24 years old, Ethan Hamlin has generated an extensive catalog of music at famous Capricorn Studios as a multi-facetted pianist, organist, and vocalist. He currently performs with many various artists such as,

Tier Blue, The Restless Natives, 

Macon Music Review, Mount Pilot, Roofdog,

Adam and The Testifiers, The Dustin McCook Trio,

Sweet Diesel, Zach Butler and The Living Room Band, The Skydog Rhythm Section, Tyler Sidney and the Regulators, Company of Crows, and over a dozen more.⇩

ABOUT ETHAN HAMLIN

As a performer, Ethan Hamlin has had the opportunity to sing and play alongside many musicians who have extensively performed, toured, and recorded with world-renowned artists such as Elton John, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Billy Joel, Percy Sledge. Over the years, Hamlin has personally shared the stage with numerous members of The Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Marshall Tucker Band, Dickey Betts and Great Southern, The Outlaws, St. Paul and The Broken Bones, Blackberry Smoke, Brent Cobb, The Gregg Allman Band, The Marcus King Band, The Allman Betts Band, and many more. 

Hamlin is a graduate of the Contemporary Musicianship Bachelor’s Degree Program at Middle Georgia State University with a focus in classical piano performance. He was one of two piano students under the direct supervision of Jazz Pianist Dr. Christian Kim, who spent many years studying and performing with Jazz legends such as Miles Davis, Charlie Hayden, and Ellis Marsalis Sr. Outside of MGSU, Hamlin serves as a pianist and vocalist for many bands including the Alternative Rock group Tier Blue, who can be heard regularly on many Spotify and traditional radio stations. His playing can be heard on their debut album "Relearning Old Tricks" as well as the releases of many other artists such as "Roofdog"  by Andy Johnson"Ball N' Chain" by Adam and The Testifiers, and numerous live albums from bands like The Restless Natives, Sweet Diesel, and Hindsight. He has also played a key part in an extensive catalog of albums recorded at the renowned Capricorn Studios including, Mount Pilot's "That Ol' Well", Kenny Ray Williams' "Til the Day I Die", and Macon Music Revue's "Self Titled". In his time with Macon Music Revue, he has shared the stage with artists like St. Paul, and The Broken Bones, Brent Cobb, John Fusco, Cody Matlock and many more. The group has brought their classic Macon-influence to Americana Fest in Nashville, Oxford American in Little Rock, Atrium Health Amphitheater, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Terminal West, and Savannah Stop Over; while also continuing to fulfill a weekly residency show at Historic Grant’s Lounge in Macon Georgia. These performances have been featured by numerous global networks and magazines, such as CNN, Okra Magazine, and Oxford American.

As a student, he participated three times in Georgia’s Literary Competition in the category of vocal performance and won the Region Championship three years in row, receiving an opportunity to compete for the state title each year. He was selected for Middle Georgia’s District 11 Honor Choir on three separate occasions and was also one of 15 Middle Georgia High School Students to be chosen to perform with the All-State GMEA Choir (Georgia Music Educators Association) in 2016. He also competed in Georgia’s LGPE (Large Group Performance Evaluation) during those same three years with his choir receiving the highest possible score each year. In his four years at Middle Georgia State University, Hamlin performed with the University Chamber Singers and also served as a vocalist, keyboardist, and percussionist for the Middle Georgia State University Jazz Band, Concert Band, and Commercial Rock Ensemble all while maintaining his regular performances outside of college.
