ABOUT ETHAN HAMLIN

                  Ethan Hamlin has had the opportunity to perform alongside many amazing artists such as Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi, Maggie Rose, St. Paul and The Broken Bones, Daniel Donato's Cosmic Country, Brent Cobb, Wycliffe Gordon, Paul Hornsby (Marshall Tucker and Duane Allman) The Atlanta Rhythm Section, Con Funk Shun, David Goldflies, Lee Roy Parnell, Robert McDuffie, Terminus Horns and countless others. Over the years he has shared the stage with numerous members of The Allman Brothers Band, The Marshall Tucker Band, Blackberry Smoke, Marcus King, Traffic, The Gregg Allman Band, Dickey Betts and Great Southern, Sea Level, The Outlaws, North Mississippi Allstars, The Allman Betts Band, Jupiter Coyote, and many more. 

Ethan is a graduate of the Contemporary Musicianship Bachelor’s Degree Program at Middle Georgia State University with a focus in classical piano performance. He was one of only two pianists under Sony Artist and Professor Dr. Christian Kim, who spent his year studying and performing with musicians like Miles Davis, Charlie Hayden, and Ellis Marsalis Sr. After graduating, Hamlin has continued working as a vocalist, pianist, organist, and percussionist for over a dozen artists. He's played a key part in an extensive catalog of albums recorded at the renowned Capricorn Studios including, Swedish Rock Band Diamond Dogs' newest single "Brass Monkey Weather", JB Strauss' upcoming album, Mt. Pilot's "That Ol' Well", Kenny Ray Williams' "Til the Day I Die", and Macon Music Revue's "Self Titled". In his time with Macon Music Revue, he has shared the stage with artists like St. Paul and The Broken Bones, Brent Cobb, Keith Jenkins (James Brown), Lloyd Buchanan (Brittany Howard, Alabama Shakes), John Fusco, Terminus Horns, Cody Matlock and many more. The group has brought their classic Macon-influence to Americana Fest (Nashville, TN), Oxford American (Little Rock, AR), Garden & Gun Back Porch Sessions (Charleston, SC), Atrium Health Amphitheater, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Terminal West, and Savannah Stop Over; while also continuing to fulfill a weekly residency show at Historic Grant’s Lounge in Macon Georgia for YEARS! These performances have been featured by numerous global networks and magazines, such as CNN, Online News Association, Garden & Gun Magazine Okra Magazine, and Oxford American. The Macon Music Revue features the talented Terminus Horns who's contributions can be heard on MMR's debut album or through the many works of other artists that they have collaborated with over the years like Noel Gallagher of Oasis, Jill Scott, Snarky Puppy, JJ Grey and Mofro, Oliver Wood, Josh Groban, and Montell Jordan. 

Ethan Hamlin is also a founding member of the Alternative Band, Tier Blue based out of 

Macon, Georgia. He originally joined the band during in his freshman year of music school while completing his Bachelor's Degree. Tier Blue has been active since 2019, performing with bands like Anderson East, Susto, Lunar Vacation, American Aquarium, HoneyKnife, Michael Cera Palin, Colt Ford, Cha Wa, Meet Me @ The Altar, Ash Tuesday, Stay Here, Shy Company and many more. His playing can be heard throughout Tier Blue's discography and also on the releases of many other current artists such as "Roofdog"  by Andy Johnson"Ball N' Chain" by Adam and The Testifiers, and numerous live albums from bands like Sweet Diesel's "Live at The Capitol Theatre", Macon Music Revue's "Live at Capricorn Studios", and The Restless Natives' "Unplugged at The Big House".

Community and Education

In addition to performing, Ethan Hamlin has used music to become actively involved in his own community. He currently serves as the youngest board member for the Georgia Allman Brothers Band Association and also helps facilitate an annual free concert in Central City Park called Skydog that uses donated goods as admission to benefit the homeless through the Non-Profit DayBreak DePaul USA. During music school, Ethan spent 3 years teaching music to inner city children and conducting choral performances as the Head Music Director at the Greater Allen Chapel Community Enrichment Center. Since then he has participated in countless events in support of The Georgia Music Foundation and Visit Macon tourism organization. As a high school student, he entered three times into Georgia’s Literary Competition in the category of vocal performance and won the Region Championship three years in row. He was selected for Middle Georgia’s Honor Choir on three separate occasions and was also one of only eight Middle Georgia High School Students to be chosen to perform with the All-State GMEA Choir (Georgia Music Educators Association) in 2016. He also competed in Georgia’s LGPE (Large Group Performance Evaluation) during those same three years, receiving the highest possible score each year. In his four years at Middle Georgia State University, Hamlin performed with the University Chamber Singers and also served as a vocalist, keyboardist, and percussionist for the Middle Georgia State University Jazz Band, Concert Band, and Commercial Rock Ensemble, while still maintaining all of his regular shows outside of the university.
